Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Instructions:

  1. Wash the Brussels sprouts and pat them completely dry with a paper towel. Trim the woody stem ends and slice each sprout in half lengthwise; quarter any exceptionally large sprouts to ensure uniform cooking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the halved sprouts with 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 1/2 tsp kosher salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Toss thoroughly until every leaf is glistening.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
  4. Place the sprouts in the air fryer basket, ensuring they aren't packed too tightly; cook in batches if they don't fit in one layer to maintain airflow.
  5. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, using tongs to shake the basket or flip the sprouts every 5 minutes until they reach a golden-brown sear.
  6. While the sprouts are hot, transfer them back to the mixing bowl.
  7. Drizzle with 1 tbsp maple syrup, 1 tsp lemon juice, and 1/4 tsp garlic powder, tossing quickly to coat so the glaze caramelizes from the residual heat.
