Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch nuggets
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp avocado oil spray
Instructions:
- Pat the chicken breast pieces dry with a paper towel and season evenly with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour, shaking off any excess.
- Dip the floured chicken into the beaten eggs until fully submerged.
- Mix Panko breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt. Press the chicken firmly into the Panko mixture to ensure a secure bond.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the nuggets in a single layer in the basket, leaving space for air to circulate.
- Lightly spray the tops of the nuggets with avocado oil spray.
- Air fry for 6 minutes, flip with tongs, spray the other side, and cook for another 6 minutes.
- Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and let the nuggets rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
