Ingredients:

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch nuggets
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil spray

Instructions:

  1. Pat the chicken breast pieces dry with a paper towel and season evenly with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour, shaking off any excess.
  3. Dip the floured chicken into the beaten eggs until fully submerged.
  4. Mix Panko breadcrumbs with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt. Press the chicken firmly into the Panko mixture to ensure a secure bond.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  6. Place the nuggets in a single layer in the basket, leaving space for air to circulate.
  7. Lightly spray the tops of the nuggets with avocado oil spray.
  8. Air fry for 6 minutes, flip with tongs, spray the other side, and cook for another 6 minutes.
  9. Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and let the nuggets rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
