Ingredients:
- 1 pound (450g) store-bought pizza dough
- 1/2 cup (120ml) tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 8 ounces (225g) cooked ham, diced
- 1 cup (150g) canned pineapple chunks, drained well
- 2 cups (225g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup (20g) red onion, thinly sliced (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside (if using).
- On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough to a 12-inch circle. If using store-bought dough, follow package instructions.
- In a small bowl, combine the tomato sauce, oregano, garlic powder, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Spread the sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Sprinkle with half the mozzarella cheese.
- Distribute the diced ham and pineapple chunks evenly over the cheese. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese and red onion (if using).
- Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
