Ingredients:

  • 1 pound (450g) store-bought pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5ml) garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 8 ounces (225g) cooked ham, diced
  • 1 cup (150g) canned pineapple chunks, drained well
  • 2 cups (225g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup (20g) red onion, thinly sliced (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside (if using).
  2. On a lightly floured surface, stretch or roll out the pizza dough to a 12-inch circle. If using store-bought dough, follow package instructions.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the tomato sauce, oregano, garlic powder, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread the sauce evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Sprinkle with half the mozzarella cheese.
  5. Distribute the diced ham and pineapple chunks evenly over the cheese. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese and red onion (if using).
  6. Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
