Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces (60 ml) Amaretto liqueur
  • 1 ounce (30 ml) Fresh lemon juice
  • ½ ounce (15 ml) Simple syrup
  • 1 Egg white (optional, pasteurized)
  • Ice cubes
  • Garnish: Lemon wedge or maraschino cherry

Instructions:

  1. Fill your rocks glass with ice to chill it while you prepare the drink.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the amaretto, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white (if using).
  3. Close the shaker and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds without ice (if using egg white). This emulsifies the egg white and creates a lovely foam.
  4. Add ice to the shaker, close it tightly, and shake again for another 15-20 seconds until well-chilled.
  5. Empty the ice from the chilled glass. Double strain the cocktail into the glass.
  6. Garnish with a lemon wedge, maraschino cherry, or both. Serve immediately and enjoy!
