Ingredients:

  • ½ cup (40g) rolled oats (not instant)
  • ½ cup (120ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy, like almond, soy, or oat milk)
  • ½ medium apple, diced (about 75g)
  • 1 tablespoon (7g) chia seeds (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1-2 teaspoons (5-10ml) maple syrup or honey
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Get your mason jar or container ready.
  2. Add the rolled oats to the container, followed by the milk, diced apple, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Stir in the chia seeds (if using), vanilla extract, and maple syrup or honey (if using).
  4. Ensure all ingredients are well combined and the oats are coated with milk. Give it a good stir or shake.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4-6 hours, or preferably overnight.
  6. Enjoy cold straight from the jar or warm by microwaving for 30-60 seconds. Add your favorite toppings before serving.
