Ingredients:
- Apples of your choice (Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, Gala, etc.)
- Method 1: Lemon Juice: 1 medium lemon, 2 cups water
- Method 2: Honey: 1 tablespoon honey, 1 cup water
- Method 3: Salt Water: 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 cup water
- Method 4: Citric Acid: 1/4 teaspoon citric acid powder, 1 cup water
Instructions:
- Wash, core, and slice the apples to your desired thickness.
- Choose your browning prevention method: Lemon Juice, Honey, Salt Water, or Citric Acid.
- Prepare the solution: For Lemon Juice, juice the lemon and mix with water. For Honey, whisk honey with water. For Salt, dissolve salt in water. For Citric Acid, dissolve citric acid in water.
- Submerge the apple slices completely in the chosen solution.
- Let the apple slices soak for 3-5 minutes.
- Remove the apple slices from the solution and gently pat them dry.
- Store in an airtight container or resealable plastic bag and refrigerate.
