Ingredients:
- 6 medium apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled, cored, and sliced (about 6 cups or 900g)
- 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup (100g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (90g) rolled oats
- 1/2 cup (100g) packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Vanilla ice cream (approximately 2-3 cups or 500-750ml)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss until apples are evenly coated, then spread the mixture in the baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, melted butter, salt, and cinnamon. Stir until combined and crumbly.
- Evenly distribute the crisp topping over the apple filling in the baking dish.
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbling.
- Let cool slightly, then scoop generous portions topped with vanilla ice cream.
