- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 ½ cups warm water (about 110°F/43°C)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, instant yeast, salt, and sugar.
- Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- In a separate bowl, mix mozzarella, Parmesan, butter, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread the filling evenly over the dough, then roll it tightly from one edge to the other.
- Use a pizza cutter or knife to slice the rolled dough into 12 equal pieces.
