Ingredients:
- 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (130 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (90 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups (240 g) powdered sugar
- ¼ cup (30 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 tablespoons milk (more if needed)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup (75 g) colorful sprinkles
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the baking pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a medium bowl.
- Whisk in the sugar until combined; then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder in a separate bowl.
- Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until just mixed, being careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool the brownies in the pan for about 30 minutes.
- Make the frosting by beating softened butter, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla until smooth and spreadable.
- Frost the cooled brownies evenly with the chocolate frosting.
- Sprinkle colorful sprinkles on top of the frosting.
- Cut into squares and serve.
