Ingredients:
- 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (150 g) brown sugar, packed
- 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups (281 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5 g) baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) salt
- 1 1/2 cups (255 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and combine thoroughly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips with a spatula.
- Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
