Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup (150 g) brown sugar, packed
  • 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups (281 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) salt
  • 1 1/2 cups (255 g) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and combine thoroughly.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips with a spatula.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or spoon, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
