Ingredients:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the mini chocolate chips with a spatula or spoon.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown around the edges and soft in the center.
  9. Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
