Ingredients:

  • 1 oz (30ml) White Rum (like Bacardi)
  • 1 oz (30ml) Vodka (optional)
  • 1 oz (30ml) Blue Curaçao liqueur
  • 3 oz (90ml) Pineapple Juice
  • 1 oz (30ml) Cream of Coconut (Coco Lopez brand is ideal)
  • Pineapple wedge, for garnish
  • Maraschino cherry, for garnish
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Chill your hurricane glass in the freezer for a few minutes, if desired.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine the white rum, vodka (if using), blue curaçao, pineapple juice, and cream of coconut.
  3. Fill the shaker with ice cubes.
  4. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until well-chilled. If making a frozen version, blend all ingredients with about 1 cup of ice until smooth.
  5. Strain the cocktail into the chilled hurricane glass filled with fresh ice. If blended, simply pour the frozen mixture into the glass.
  6. Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy your tropical escape!
