Ingredients:
- 8 cups (2 liters) Water
- 1 tablespoon Dried Peppermint Leaves (Mentha piperita)
- 1 tablespoon Dried Eucalyptus Leaves (Eucalyptus globulus)
- 1 tablespoon Dried Thyme Leaves (Thymus vulgaris)
- 1 tablespoon Dried Rosemary Leaves (Salvia rosmarinus)
- 1 tablespoon Dried Sage Leaves (Salvia officinalis)
- 1 teaspoon Dried Ginger Root (Zingiber officinale) (sliced or grated)
- 1 teaspoon Dried Liquorice Root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) (chopped or powdered)
- 1 teaspoon Dried Chamomile Flowers (Matricaria chamomilla)
- 1 teaspoon Dried Mullein Leaves (Verbascum thapsus)
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried Elecampane Root (Inula helenium) (chopped or powdered)
Instructions:
- Bring the water to a rolling boil in a large pot or kettle.
- Carefully pour the boiling water into a large, heat-safe bowl. Add all ten dried herbs to the bowl.
- Place the bowl on a stable surface. Sit comfortably with your face about 12 inches (30 cm) above the bowl.
- Drape the towel over your head and the bowl, creating a tent to trap the steam.
- Close your eyes and breathe deeply through your nose and mouth for 5-10 minutes. If the steam becomes too intense, lift the towel slightly for a moment to cool down.
- Once finished, carefully dispose of the used herbs and water.
