Ingredients:
- 2 cups (480 ml) freshly brewed coffee, hot
- 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) water
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (240 ml) whole milk (or milk of choice)
Instructions:
- Brew 2 cups of coffee using your preferred method (French press, drip coffee maker, etc.).
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar and water. Heat over medium until sugar dissolves, stirring regularly.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Let cool.
- Heat the milk in a saucepan until steaming but not boiling. Use a whisk or milk frother to foam the milk until creamy.
- Pour 1 tablespoon of vanilla syrup into each mug, fill mugs with brewed coffee until nearly full, and top with frothed milk.
- Optionally, sprinkle with cocoa powder or a drizzle of vanilla syrup for garnish.
