Ingredients:
- 4 large blood oranges (about 1.5 pounds or 680 grams)
- 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (30 ml), adjust to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (15 ml) (optional, for extra tartness)
- Ice cubes, for serving (optional)
Instructions:
- Wash the blood oranges thoroughly under running water. Cut each orange in half.
- Use a citrus juicer to extract juice from each half. If desired, strain the juice through a fine mesh strainer to remove pulp and seeds.
- In a pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed blood orange juice with honey or agave syrup. Add fresh lemon juice if using. Stir well until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
- Serve over ice if desired, or chill in the fridge for 15–20 minutes before serving.
