Ingredients:
- 1 cup (120g) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 4 oz (113g) Italian sausage, casing removed
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (50g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
- 1/4 cup (30g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup (60g) marinara sauce (for serving)
Instructions:
- Preheat your broiler on high.
- Place the sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked (about 5-7 minutes).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until fully combined.
- Fold the cooked sausage into the egg mixture.
- Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal portions and shape each into a small round on a baking sheet.
- Spoon the sausage-egg mixture evenly onto each pizzette base.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan evenly over each pizzette.
- Place the baking sheet under the broiler for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve with marinara sauce on the side.
