Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (120g) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 oz (113g) Italian sausage, casing removed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
  • 1/2 cup (50g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)
  • 1/4 cup (30g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup (60g) marinara sauce (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your broiler on high.
  2. Place the sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked (about 5-7 minutes).
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until fully combined.
  4. Fold the cooked sausage into the egg mixture.
  5. Divide the pizza dough into 4 equal portions and shape each into a small round on a baking sheet.
  6. Spoon the sausage-egg mixture evenly onto each pizzette base.
  7. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan evenly over each pizzette.
  8. Place the baking sheet under the broiler for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve with marinara sauce on the side.
