Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (about 10 oz / 280 g), thawed
  • 6 oz (170 g) brie cheese, cut into small wedges
  • 1 cup (150 g) fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) balsamic glaze
  • 1 tablespoon (15 g) brown sugar
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface.
  3. Cut the pastry into 3-inch squares (12 total).
  4. Place a square of pastry on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Add a wedge of brie and a slice of strawberry on top.
  6. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and sprinkle with brown sugar.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown.
  8. Switch the oven to broil; broil for 1-2 minutes until the brie is bubbly and slightly browned (watch closely).
  9. Remove from oven, garnish with mint leaves if desired, and serve warm.
