Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20 recommended)
  • 24 oz jar Marinara/Tomato Sauce (high quality)
  • 18 oz package Fresh or Frozen Cheese Ravioli
  • 1/2 cup Whole Milk or Half-and-Half
  • 2 cups (8 oz) Shredded Low-Moisture Mozzarella
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up finely. Drain off any excess fat.
  3. Stir the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper into the cooked beef. Pour in the marinara sauce and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then remove from heat.
  4. Spread about 1 cup of the meat sauce mixture evenly over the bottom of the greased baking dish.
  5. Arrange half of the ravioli in a single layer over the sauce layer.
  6. Top the ravioli layer with half of the remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese evenly over this layer.
  7. Add the remaining ravioli, top with the rest of the meat sauce, and pour the 1/2 cup of milk or half-and-half evenly over the top.
  8. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese across the top of the casserole.
  9. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 5–10 minutes, or until the cheese is beautifully golden brown and bubbling fiercely.
  11. Let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
