Ingredients:
- 1 lb Ground Beef (80/20 recommended)
- 24 oz jar Marinara/Tomato Sauce (high quality)
- 18 oz package Fresh or Frozen Cheese Ravioli
- 1/2 cup Whole Milk or Half-and-Half
- 2 cups (8 oz) Shredded Low-Moisture Mozzarella
- 1 teaspoon Dried Italian Seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- Salt and Black Pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it up finely. Drain off any excess fat.
- Stir the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper into the cooked beef. Pour in the marinara sauce and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then remove from heat.
- Spread about 1 cup of the meat sauce mixture evenly over the bottom of the greased baking dish.
- Arrange half of the ravioli in a single layer over the sauce layer.
- Top the ravioli layer with half of the remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese evenly over this layer.
- Add the remaining ravioli, top with the rest of the meat sauce, and pour the 1/2 cup of milk or half-and-half evenly over the top.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese across the top of the casserole.
- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for another 5–10 minutes, or until the cheese is beautifully golden brown and bubbling fiercely.
- Let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
