- 1 tablespoon ground cumin (8g)
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika (8g)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano (2g)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder (3g)
- 1 teaspoon onion powder (3g)
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt (3g)
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (1g)
- ¼ - ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, adjust to taste) (0.5-1g)
- ¼ teaspoon ground coriander (optional) (0.5g)
Instructions:
- In a small bowl, combine all ingredients: chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper (if using), and coriander (if using).
- Stir well with a spoon or whisk until the spices are evenly distributed and the mixture is homogenous.
- Taste a small amount of the seasoning blend and adjust the seasonings to your preference. Add more cayenne pepper for heat, cumin for earthiness, or chili powder for a richer chili flavor.
- Transfer the chili seasoning blend to an airtight container. Store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
