Ingredients:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- 2 cups ripe peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions:
- In a blender, combine sliced peaches, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Blend until smooth. Optionally strain through a fine mesh sieve for a smoother texture.
- In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, whisking continuously. Do not boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until completely chilled.
- Once chilled
- Transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight container. Freeze for an additional 2-3 hours for a firmer texture.
