Ingredients:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line the baking pan with parchment paper, leaving enough overhang for easy removal.
- In a large bowl, combine granulated and brown sugar with melted butter.
- Add eggs and vanilla, whisking until smooth.
- Gradually fold in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- In a separate bowl, mix together peanut butter, honey, salt, and powdered sugar (if using) until creamy.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once brownies are cooled, spread the churned peanut butter evenly on top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before slicing into squares and serving.
