Ingredients:

  • 1 lime, cut into wedges (approximately 115 grams)
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar (10 grams)
  • 2 ounces cachaça (60 ml)
  • Crushed ice (as needed)
  • Lime wheel or wedge (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Cut the lime into 8 wedges.
  2. In a short glass, add the lime wedges and sugar. Gently muddle to release the lime juice and dissolve the sugar, about 10-15 seconds.
  3. Pour the cachaça over the muddled lime and sugar mixture.
  4. Fill the glass with crushed ice, nearly to the top.
  5. Stir the mixture gently to combine the ingredients evenly.
  6. Optionally, garnish with a lime wheel or wedge.
