- ¾ cup (165g) packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 ¼ cups (281g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) baking soda
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) salt
- 2 cups (340g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and then the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Drop by rounded tablespoons (or use a cookie scoop) onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still slightly soft.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
