  • 0.5 oz (15 ml) simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 3 oz (90 ml) champagne or sparkling wine (chilled)
  • Ice (for shaking and serving)
  • Lemon twist (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Gather all ingredients and equipment; ensure champagne is chilled.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of gin, 1 oz of lemon juice, and 0.5 oz of simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice.
  3. Shake well for about 15 seconds until chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into a champagne flute or coupe glass.
  5. Carefully fill the glass with 3 oz of chilled champagne or sparkling wine.
  6. Add a twist of lemon on top for garnish and serve immediately.
