Ingredients:

  • 2 oz (60 ml) whiskey (bourbon or rye recommended)
  • 4-6 oz (120-180 ml) soda water or ginger ale
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon or lime wedge (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Add ice cubes to a highball glass, filling it about halfway.
  2. Pour 2 oz (60 ml) of whiskey over the ice using a jigger.
  3. Slowly top the glass with 4-6 oz (120-180 ml) of soda water or ginger ale.
  4. Squeeze a wedge of lemon or lime over the drink and add it to the glass.
  5. Use a bar spoon or straw to gently stir the cocktail, if desired.
  6. Enjoy immediately while cold and refreshing!
