Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) red wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon (15 g) Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) sugar (optional)
  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Combine olive oil, red wine vinegar, and Dijon mustard in a bowl or jar.
  2. Add garlic powder, oregano, basil, and sugar (if using).
  3. Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper according to taste.
  4. Whisk until well combined or shake vigorously if using a jar until emulsified.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed, adding more vinegar, salt, or pepper.
  6. Use immediately or refrigerate for up to a week, shaking or stirring before each use.
