Ingredients:
- 1 lb linguine
- 1 tbsp salt
- 6 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
- 2 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
Instructions:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of the starchy pasta water before draining the noodles.
- Place a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter until it begins to foam. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Whisk together the oyster sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, and sesame oil in a small bowl. Pour the mixture into the skillet and stir constantly for 1 minute until the sauce bubbles and thickens into a glossy syrup.
- Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet and pour in the reserved pasta water. Vigorously toss the noodles over medium-high heat for 2 minutes until the sauce becomes a velvety glaze.
- Divide the pasta into bowls and garnish with sliced green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and red chili flakes.
