Ingredients:
- 2 medium russet potatoes (about 450g/1 lb)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5 ml)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25 ml)
- Optional: Garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper (to taste)
Instructions:
- Slice potatoes very thinly using a mandoline or knife (approx. 1/16 inch/1.5mm thick).
- Place potato slices in a large bowl of cold water for 10 minutes. Drain well and pat completely dry with paper towels.
- In the same bowl, toss the dried potato slices with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings.
- Arrange potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding.
- Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 12-18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the chips from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Serve immediately and enjoy!
