Ingredients:

  • 2 medium russet potatoes (about 450g/1 lb)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (2.5 ml)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1.25 ml)
  • Optional: Garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper (to taste)

Instructions:

  1. Slice potatoes very thinly using a mandoline or knife (approx. 1/16 inch/1.5mm thick).
  2. Place potato slices in a large bowl of cold water for 10 minutes. Drain well and pat completely dry with paper towels.
  3. In the same bowl, toss the dried potato slices with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any optional seasonings.
  4. Arrange potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding.
  5. Air fry at 380°F (190°C) for 12-18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the chips from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Serve immediately and enjoy!
