Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed, about 250g)
  • 1 large egg (for egg wash)
  • 150g Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons honey (30ml)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Cut the pastry into squares (approximately 2 inches each).
  4. Place the squares on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. In a bowl, combine crumbled Gorgonzola, sliced pears, honey, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  6. Spoon the filling onto the center of each pastry square.
  7. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a pocket.
  8. Brush the pastry edges with the beaten egg wash.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Cool slightly before serving.
