Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed, about 250g)
- 1 large egg (for egg wash)
- 150g Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
- 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons honey (30ml)
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into squares (approximately 2 inches each).
- Place the squares on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- In a bowl, combine crumbled Gorgonzola, sliced pears, honey, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Spoon the filling onto the center of each pastry square.
- Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a pocket.
- Brush the pastry edges with the beaten egg wash.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool slightly before serving.
