Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups (180g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup (120ml) warm water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, plus extra for greasing
- ¾ cup (180ml) tomato sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups (200g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup (60g) pepperoni slices (or any other toppings of choice)
- ¼ cup (30g) diced bell peppers
- ¼ cup (30g) sliced black olives
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Make a well in the center and add warm water and olive oil.
- Mix until a dough forms, kneading lightly for about 2 minutes.
- Cover with a towel and let rest for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine tomato sauce, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Roll out the rested dough on a floured surface to about ¼-inch thickness.
- Use a round cutter to cut circles of dough (about 2-3 inches in diameter) and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Spoon a small amount of sauce onto each dough circle.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Add desired toppings evenly over the cheese.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve warm.
