Ingredients:

  • 1 (12 oz) can of tuna, drained (340g)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (60ml)
  • 1/4 cup chopped celery (35g)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion (40g)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (15g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.5g)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1g)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (100g)
  • 1 (8 oz) package refrigerated crescent roll dough (226g)
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper if desired.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined and set aside.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles along the perforated lines.
  4. Place about 1 tablespoon of the tuna filling at the wider end of each dough triangle. Roll the dough around the filling, tucking in the sides to secure it.
  5. Place the rolled bites on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
