Ingredients:
- 1 (12 oz) can of tuna, drained (340g)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise (60ml)
- 1/4 cup chopped celery (35g)
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion (40g)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (15g)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (2g)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (1.5g)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (1g)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (100g)
- 1 (8 oz) package refrigerated crescent roll dough (226g)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper if desired.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until well combined and set aside.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles along the perforated lines.
- Place about 1 tablespoon of the tuna filling at the wider end of each dough triangle. Roll the dough around the filling, tucking in the sides to secure it.
- Place the rolled bites on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bites are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
