Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (50 g) gum arabic powder
- 1 cup (240 ml) warm water
- 1 tsp (5 ml) lemon juice (optional, for added brightness)
Instructions:
- In a saucepan, combine the sugar, gum arabic powder, and warm water.
- Whisk vigorously until the sugar and gum arabic are fully dissolved.
- If using, stir in the lemon juice for an acidic balance.
- Pour the mixture into an airtight container. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to thicken.
- Store the syrup in the fridge for up to one month. Shake or stir before use if separation occurs.
