Ingredients:

  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups (240g) powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2-3 tablespoons (30-45ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Gather all ingredients and ensure the butter is softened to room temperature.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with an electric mixer until creamy.
  3. Gradually add in the sifted powdered sugar, mixing on low speed to prevent a sugar cloud.
  4. Pour in 2 tablespoons of milk and vanilla extract, blending until smooth.
  5. Sprinkle in the ground cinnamon and pinch of salt; blend again until fully combined.
  6. If frosting is too thick, add an additional tablespoon of milk; mix until desired consistency is reached.
  7. Taste the frosting and add more cinnamon or vanilla if desired.
  8. Use immediately to frost warm cinnamon rolls or store in the fridge for later use.
