Ingredients:
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
- Combine warm water, honey, and yeast in a mixing bowl. Stir gently and let it sit for 5–10 minutes until a foamy or bubbly layer forms on top.
- Stir in the olive oil and salt.
- Gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, mixing with a spoon until a shaggy ball forms.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for 3–5 minutes until the dough feels smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into 2 or 4 equal portions.
- Roll each piece into a thin oval or circle, approximately 1/4 inch thick.
- Place on parchment paper and bake at 425°F (218°C) for 5 minutes without toppings until set and pale gold.
