Ingredients:
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup (180ml) warm water
- 2 tbsp (30ml) olive oil
- 1 tsp (6g) salt
- 1 tsp (4g) baking powder
- 1/2 cup (120ml) pizza sauce
- 8 oz (225g) shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup (15g) grated Parmesan
- 1 cup (150g) mixed toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, mushrooms)
- 1 tbsp (15ml) olive oil
Instructions:
- Combine flour, salt, and baking powder in a mixing bowl.
- Stir in warm water and olive oil until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead for 2 minutes on a floured surface until the dough is smooth and no longer sticky.
- Divide into two equal balls and let them rest for 5–10 minutes.
- Roll each ball into a thin circle, roughly 1/4 inch thick.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a drizzle of olive oil.
- Place the rolled dough in the pan and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown bubbles appear.
- Spread a thin layer of sauce over the seared base, leaving a 1/2 inch border.
- Layer the mozzarella and Parmesan, then add your chosen mixed toppings.
- Brush the edges of the crust with olive oil.
- Place under a broiler for 3–5 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and the edges are mahogany-colored.
