Ingredients:

  • 1 lb strawberries, large and firm
  • 15 large marshmallows
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 0.5 cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp freeze-dried raspberry dust
  • 1 tbsp pink sanding sugar

Instructions:

  1. Wash and dry the 1 lb strawberries thoroughly. Note: Any water left on the surface will cause the chocolate to slide right off.
  2. Hull the berries by cutting a deep V shape into the top where the green leaves are.
  3. Slice each berry in half vertically through the center of that V to create two distinct heart shapes.
  4. Toss the slices gently in 1 tsp lemon juice. Wait 2 minutes until the surfaces look slightly matte, then pat dry again.
  5. Thread one marshmallow onto a skewer, followed by two strawberry heart halves facing each other to form a full heart.
  6. Melt the 1 cup dark chocolate with 1 tbsp coconut oil in 30 second bursts. Stir until silky and completely smooth.
  7. Dip the top half of the strawberry hearts into the chocolate. Hold over the bowl until the excess stops dripping.
  8. Place on parchment and immediately sprinkle with the raspberry dust and pink sanding sugar.
  9. Melt the white chocolate and drizzle thin lines across the dark chocolate. Let sit for 5 minutes until the shell is firm.
