Ingredients:
- 1 large loaf (16 oz / 450g) Soft French Bread
- 4 tbsp (56g) Unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Freshly chopped parsley
- 1 cup (240ml) Marinara sauce
- 2.5 cups (280g) Low-moisture, part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 0.5 cup (50g) Freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 oz (113g) Sliced pepperoni
- 0.5 tsp Dried oregano
- 0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 200°C. Use a serrated knife to slice the French bread in half lengthwise and then crosswise to create four equal portions. Gently press down on the crumb of the bread to create a wider, flatter surface for toppings.
- In a small bowl, combine softened butter and minced garlic, and fresh parsley. Brush the mixture generously over the cut sides of the bread. Place on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes until the edges are golden and the surface is firm to create a moisture barrier.
- Spread an even layer of marinara sauce over the pre-toasted bread. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, followed by a generous layer of mozzarella. Add pepperoni slices and season with dried oregano and red pepper flakes.
- Return the pizzas to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly browned.
