Ingredients:

  • 3 cups Rice Chex cereal (about 120g)
  • 1 cup Corn Chex cereal (about 40g)
  • 1 cup mixed nuts (such as almonds, cashews, and peanuts) (about 120g)
  • 1 cup pretzel sticks (about 80g)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (about 57g)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (about 30ml)
  • 3 tablespoons furikake seasoning (about 15g)
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (about 12g)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (about 2g)
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder (about 2g)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine Rice Chex, Corn Chex, mixed nuts, and pretzel sticks.
  3. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.
  4. Once melted, stir in soy sauce, furikake, sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder until combined.
  5. Pour the butter mixture over the Chex mix, tossing thoroughly to coat evenly.
  6. Spread the mixture onto a large baking sheet in an even layer.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, stirring halfway through to ensure even toasting.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely on the baking sheet before serving.
