Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs Large Shrimp (16-20 count), peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Dried Oregano
- 1 tsp Dried Thyme
- 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
- 1/2 tsp Cracked Black Pepper
- 1 tbsp Avocado Oil
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
- 1 Lemon, halved
Instructions:
- Pat the shrimp with paper towels until they are bone-dry to prevent steaming and ensure a proper sear.
- In a large bowl, whisk the avocado oil together with the smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
- Toss the dry shrimp in the oil and spice mixture until every shrimp is thoroughly coated.
- Heat a large cast iron skillet or heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat until hot.
- Place the shrimp in the pan in a single layer. Sear for 2 minutes per side until the edges are crispy and the centers are opaque.
- In the final 30 seconds of cooking, add the minced garlic and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to deglaze the pan and coat the shrimp.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
