Ingredients:
- 4 cups (500g) all-purpose flour (plus more for dusting)
- 2 teaspoons (7g) instant yeast
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups (360ml) warm water (110°F to 115°F)
- 3 tablespoons (42g) unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Gradually add warm water and melted butter to the dry mixture.
- Mix with a wooden spoon until a sticky dough forms.
- Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Once risen, punch down the dough, turn it out onto a floured surface, and shape it into a loaf.
- Place the loaf in a greased loaf tin, cover with a towel, and let it rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the loaf for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Remove from the tin, transfer to a wire rack, and let cool before slicing.
