Ingredients:

  • 8 slices of brioche or challah bread (about 300g)
  • 1 cup (150g) sliced deli ham
  • 1 cup (150g) sliced turkey breast
  • 1 cup (100g) shredded Swiss cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups (480ml) whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Maple syrup, for drizzling

Instructions:

  1. Slice brioche bread into triangles or squares and layer half in the bottom of the baking dish.
  2. Evenly spread the ham, turkey, and half the cheese over the bread, then top with remaining bread slices.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the layered bread and fillings, gently press down, cover with foil, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), remove foil, sprinkle remaining cheese on top, and bake for 40 minutes.
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes, then dust with powdered sugar and serve with maple syrup if desired.
