Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons Smoked Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Thyme
  • 1 tablespoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Cayenne Pepper
  • 2 teaspoons White Pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a small mixing bowl, add all the listed spices (smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, thyme, black pepper, cayenne pepper, white pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes (if using)).
  2. Use a whisk or spoon to thoroughly combine all the spices, ensuring there are no clumps. Aim for a homogenous colour and texture.
  3. Give it a wee taste (carefully!). Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes if you prefer a spicier or milder blend.
  4. Transfer the cajun seasoning recipe to an airtight container. Store in a cool, dark place for up to 6 months.
