Ingredients:
- 4 cups (950 ml) Water, filtered
- 1 cup (200g) Granulated Sugar, white
- 1/4 cup (loosely packed) edible dried flowers (such as lavender, rose petals, or hibiscus)
Instructions:
- In the saucepan, combine the filtered water and granulated sugar.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat.
- If using dried flowers, add them to the pan. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 5 minutes to infuse the flavor.
- If you used dried flowers, strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth-lined colander to remove the flowers. Discard the flowers.
- Allow the syrup to cool completely before filling your hummingbird feeders.
- Store the cooled syrup in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
