Ingredients:

  • 1 cup brown rice
  • 1.25 cups water
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. Place brown rice in a fine mesh strainer and rinse under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
  2. Transfer rinsed rice to the Instant Pot. Add water and salt if using.
  3. Secure the lid and set to pressure cook on high for 22-28 minutes depending on desired texture.
  4. Allow natural release for about 10 minutes after cooking.
  5. Open the lid and fluff the rice with a fork. Let sit for a few minutes before serving.
