Ingredients:

  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) fresh strawberry juice (about 2-3 strawberries)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • Food coloring (if a deeper color is desired)

Instructions:

  1. Optionally, blend fresh strawberries in a blender until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve to extract 2 tablespoons of juice.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the sifted powdered sugar.
  3. Pour in the fresh strawberry juice.
  4. Add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  5. Whisk together until smooth and well combined. Adjust consistency by adding more powdered sugar or juice as necessary.
  6. If desired, add a few drops of food coloring and mix until evenly colored.
  7. Drizzle or dip over cooled cookies. Allow to set for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
