Ingredients:
- 1 cup (240 ml) filtered water
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) ice cubes
- 1/2 cup (75g) chopped kale
- 1/2 cup (75g) spinach
- 1/2 medium orange, peeled and segmented
- 1/4 medium lemon, peeled (remove seeds)
- 1/4 inch (5g) piece of fresh ginger, peeled
- 1/4 cup (40g) frozen mango chunks
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chia seeds
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) raw honey or maple syrup (optional)
Instructions:
- Wash and chop all fruits and vegetables as specified in the ingredient list.
- Add the water, ice, kale, spinach, orange, lemon, ginger, and frozen mango to the blender.
- Secure the lid and blend on high speed until smooth, about 30-60 seconds. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more water until desired consistency is reached.
- Stir in the chia seeds and honey (or maple syrup) if using.
- Taste and add more sweetener or lemon juice as needed to adjust the flavour to your liking.
- Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.
