Ingredients:
- 2 packages (3.4 oz each) Instant Vanilla Pudding mix
- 3 cups whole milk, cold
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream, chilled
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 11 oz vanilla wafers
- 6 large bananas, sliced into 1/4 inch rounds
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the cold milk and instant vanilla pudding mix for 2 minutes until thickened. Place in the refrigerator to set.
- In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk using an electric mixer until completely smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gently fold the cream cheese mixture into the chilled pudding until the mixture is uniform and pale yellow.
- In a chilled bowl, beat the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold half of the whipped cream into the pudding mixture to lighten the texture. Reserve the remaining half for the top layer.
- Arrange a single layer of vanilla wafers at the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish or trifle bowl. Top with a layer of sliced bananas.
- Spread half of the pudding mixture over the bananas. Repeat the layers: wafers, bananas, and the remaining pudding.
- Spread the reserved whipped cream over the top and garnish with crushed wafer crumbs.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (or overnight) to allow the wafers to soften into a cake-like consistency.
