Ingredients:
- 750 ml (25 oz) bottle of dry white wine (such as Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc)
- 240 ml (1 cup) apple cider (fresh pressed is best)
- 120 ml (1/2 cup) brandy
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec)
- 2 medium apples (such as Honeycrisp or Fuji), cored and chopped (approximately 300g)
- 1 medium pear (such as Anjou or Bosc), cored and chopped (approximately 200g)
- 1 orange, sliced into rounds
- 1 lemon, sliced into rounds
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- Optional: Sparkling water or ginger ale, for topping
- Ice
Instructions:
- Core and chop the apples and pear. Slice the orange and lemon into rounds.
- In a large pitcher, combine the white wine, apple cider, brandy, and orange liqueur.
- Add the chopped apples, pears, orange slices, lemon slices, and cinnamon sticks to the pitcher.
- Stir gently to combine all ingredients. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to several hours.
- Before serving, give the sangria a good stir. Serve over ice. Top with a splash of sparkling water or ginger ale, if desired, for extra fizz.
