Ingredients:
- 1 package (14.3 oz/405g) Oreo cookies (double-stuffed recommended)
- 1/2 cup (115g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening (like Crisco)
- 36 candy corn pieces
- 24 candy eyes
- 12 orange candy-coated chocolate pieces (like M&M's)
- Red candy-coated chocolate pieces (like M&M's) or red frosting
Instructions:
- Gently melt the chocolate chips and shortening in a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth.
- Dab a small amount of melted chocolate onto the rounded end of each candy corn piece and attach them around the top half of an Oreo cookie to create the turkey's feathers.
- Use a small dab of melted chocolate to attach the candy eyes and orange M&M beak to the front of the Oreo.
- Dab a tiny amount of red M&M or frosting just below the beak for the waddle.
- Place the assembled oreo turkey cookies on parchment paper and let the chocolate set completely (about 15-20 minutes).
