Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (240g) Pancake Mix
  • 1 cup (240ml) Milk
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (5ml)
  • Vegetable Oil (for frying)
  • Powdered Sugar (confectioners’ sugar)
  • Optional toppings: Chocolate sauce, fresh berries, whipped cream, sprinkles

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together pancake mix, milk, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Pour vegetable oil into a pot or deep fryer. Heat over medium-high heat until it reaches 350-375°F (175-190°C).
  3. Pour the batter into a funnel or Ziploc bag.
  4. Carefully pipe the batter into the hot oil in a swirling, circular motion.
  5. Fry for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. This is how to make funnel cake.
  6. Remove the funnel cake and place it on a wire rack lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. Dust generously with powdered sugar and add your favorite toppings. Serve immediately.
