Ingredients:
- 2 cups (240g) Pancake Mix
- 1 cup (240ml) Milk
- 1 Large Egg
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract (5ml)
- Vegetable Oil (for frying)
- Powdered Sugar (confectioners’ sugar)
- Optional toppings: Chocolate sauce, fresh berries, whipped cream, sprinkles
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together pancake mix, milk, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour vegetable oil into a pot or deep fryer. Heat over medium-high heat until it reaches 350-375°F (175-190°C).
- Pour the batter into a funnel or Ziploc bag.
- Carefully pipe the batter into the hot oil in a swirling, circular motion.
- Fry for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. This is how to make funnel cake.
- Remove the funnel cake and place it on a wire rack lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Dust generously with powdered sugar and add your favorite toppings. Serve immediately.
